Illegal Chinese Border Crossings up 14,000% since 2021 if Current Rates Continue

Chinese nationals are now entering the US illegally in massive numbers The number of Chinese nationals illegally entering the US will have increased by 14,000% since 2021 if current rates continue. At least 50,000 Chinese nationals are on course to enter the US illegally this year. In 2021, Border Patrol agents apprehended 342 Chinese nationals. Six times that number, just under 2,000, were apprehended in 2022, before an explosion the next year. In 2023, 24,125 Chinese nationals were apprehended by Border Patrol. But 2023’s figures pale into comparison with projections for this year. In the first six months of 2024, 24,296 Chinese nationals were apprehended trying to cross the southern border. If the same number try to enter in the second half of the year, that will be a total of just shy of 50,000—a 14,000% increase on the figures for 2021. These figures do not include illegals who have managed to enter the US without being apprehended. Jovokhir Attoev was apprehended at the border and then released into the country A suspected ISIS terrorist was able to live illegally in the US for two years before being picked up by ICE, in Baltimore. He is now in custody in Pennsylvania. Jovokhir Attoev, 33, from Uzbekistan, crossed into Arizona from Mexico in February 2022. After being stopped by Border Patrol agents, he was released into the US on bond, because no relevant information about him could be found. A year later, in May 2023, Uzbekistan issued an international warning that Attoev was wanted for links to ISIS, but it took a further ten months for the US government to identify Attoev as the man the Uzbek government was warning about, when they reviewed his asylum application, and then a further month to apprehend him. Attoev was arrested in Baltimore on April 17.
